Ambassadors

We were thrilled to begin welcoming applicants in Canada this year! As we grow, we’ll be adding more countries around the world!

Our hope is to inspire and lead all gardeners in growing a cut flower garden, whether you’ve never planted a seed or you’re a master gardener. No experience is required, just an eagerness to learn!

Yes…and no. Ambassadors pay a one time $299 enrollment fee or may make 12 payments of $29. However, it's so very important to us that resources are available to everyone, which is why we offer financial need scholarships to cover the cost of the enrollment fee.

Scholarship information is shared during our required training: "How to Become a GK Ambassador" and is included in our application.

We are indeed! That’s exactly why we ask for member support to keep this program running!

Our Ambassador Program enrollment fee helps offset the costs of operating the program, ensuring we can continue offering high-quality resources and support.

With over $6,700 in value—including coaching, garden and floral design education, and community connection—your investment not only is an incredible value, it’s also an investment in Growing Kindness that allows us to equip and continue to operate our Ambassador Program.

Yes! Our team includes flower farmers and florists!

If you operate a flower based business, we simply ask that you make it very clear for your customers and community that any flowers you donate are given freely and without expectation of financial gain or as a promotional strategy for your business and that your goal in joining the team is to promote the mission, not your business.

Ever had the best cup of coffee in town and then told all your friends they’ve got to try your favorite coffee spot?

If you can do that with the Growing Kindness mission, you’re on the right track! Plus, we’ve here to help!

You’ll get training through our workshops and step-by-step help from our Team Captains. As an Ambassador, you’ll help to share about GK and our mission in whatever way you’re most skilled or comfortable: social media, personal invitation, or presentation (whether you share with your closet friends in your monthly bookclub or decide to go big and present at the local garden show-it’s up to you!)

Our Ambassadors are provided with a complete digital kit AND a super fun Ambassador Kit with materials to make spreading the mission easy!

Nope! While having social media adds a sweet way to spread the kindness, it is in no way required. If you have an account, we encourage you to share your happy stories of giving flowers on social media: the world sure could use more happy stories!

Whether you share on social media or otherwise, we do require that all Ambassadors actively seek opportunities to frequently share the mission of the project and promote it within their circle and community.

Ambassadors are required to:

• Attend two, two-hour Workshops at the beginning and end of their Ambassador year: March 8 and January 2026 (DTBA) Workshops are offered one Saturday morning and include team building, project updates and leadership training.

• Be an official representative of the project and help to spread the Growing Kindness mission by sharing about our mission and inviting others to join the team. (We provide resources and support you need to make this easy!)

• We never ask for a specific commitment to share a certain number of bouquets, but encourage you to set a “stretch” goal for yourself to stay committed to sharing flowers as often as you’re able in your community, whether that’s 10 bouquets over the summer or ten a week during the growing season. Our hope is simply that you commit to growing and giving flowers in kindness this year.   

Ambassadors are encouraged to:

• Attend Quarterly Master Classes (in person or replay) for gardening and floral design education. (Included in membership)

• Participate regularly in our private community forum by posting, commenting, asking questions or attending live sessions.

In a nutshell, Ambassadors receive a higher level of support, including 24/7 access to The Greenhouse, full Cut Flower Gardening & Design Course Library with over 40 hours of videos and tutorials.

Ambassadors also are offered workshops, an Ambassador Kit and year long mentorship from an Alumni Ambassador. Gardeners do receive 24/7 access to our Greenhouse, but do not receive training and coaching through our Ambassador Workshops.

While Ambassadors make a year long commitment to growing and sharing flowers and representing the project, Gardeners can join at any time and do not act as official representatives or have access to leadership training within the project. 

Ambassadors serve a one year term from March-March. After being selected and completing one year as an Ambassador, you are eligible to re-enroll as an Ambassador each year.
